Specification library

Copyable tender clauses, organized by use case and climate exposure.

This section is the missing specification layer: it turns each use case into measurable tender requirements, evidence requirements, and acceptance tests.

Use-case specification packs

Sensor performance

Range, accuracy, precision, resolution, response time, drift, calibration interval, traceability, and environmental operating limits.

Siting and installation

Mounting, exposure, representativeness, obstructions, vandalism risk, access, safety, metadata, and photographic documentation.

Power and communications

Energy budget, backup autonomy, telemetry interval, outage behavior, local storage, diagnostics, SIM/APN ownership, and antenna requirements.

Data and interoperability

Units, timestamps, time zones, metadata, API access, open formats, data ownership, retention, audit logs, and export requirements.

QA/QC and acceptance

Factory tests, site acceptance tests, calibration certificates, data validation rules, uptime calculation, and defect correction periods.

Maintenance and lifecycle

Cleaning, recalibration, spare parts, firmware updates, cybersecurity patches, documentation, training, and end-of-life handover.

Requirement pattern

Each clause should state: what shall be measured, under which site or climate condition, to what minimum performance level, with what evidence, and how acceptance will be tested.

PartPurposeExample
RequirementDefines the obligationThe station shall provide air temperature, relative humidity, wind speed, wind direction, pressure, and solar radiation at the specified interval.
ConditionPrevents hidden exceptionsThe requirement applies across the stated operating temperature, humidity, precipitation, dust, salt, and icing exposure profile.
EvidenceMakes bid evaluation defensibleThe bidder shall submit calibration certificates, datasheets, mounting drawings, sample data files, and maintenance procedures.
Acceptance testTurns promises into pass/fail criteriaThe buyer shall verify telemetry, timestamps, metadata, siting, power failover, and sample measurements before final acceptance.
